My name is Anitra Freeman. While I was homeless, I started StreetWrites, a workshop for homeless and low-income writers. I also started teaching computer classes -- including how to make web-pages -- to homeless and low-income students; hooked up with several other grassroots homeless empowerment projects; and began posting lots of stuff on the Web.

This page grew out of all those elements. I wanted to share some of the art and writing from StreetWrites; share some of the rich cultural diversity in our world; and practice some new HTML skills (rollovers, layering, css, javascript...)
